How we handle your personal information when you use Prier.

Last updated: 5 June 2026

1. Introduction

Prier ("we", "us", or "our") operates the platform at priers.studio (the "Platform"). We connect pre-vetted candidates with early-stage startups and help both sides manage assessments, matching, and introductions.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly and information generated when you use the Platform.

  • Account information: name, email address, and authentication details when you sign in (for example via Google).
  • Candidate profile data: education, skills, portfolio links, availability, location, assessment results, and documents you upload.
  • Hirer profile data: company name, website, work email, role title, phone number, and notes you submit during onboarding.
  • Role and matching data: job descriptions, required skills, shortlists, and match rankings.
  • Payment information: when hirers pay for introductions, payment processing is handled by Razorpay. We receive transaction references, amounts, and status — not full card or bank details.
  • Communications: messages you send to us (for example at hello@priers.studio) and notifications we send through the Platform.
  • Usage data: pages visited, actions taken, device/browser type, and approximate log data used for security and product improvement.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to operate, improve, and secure the Platform.

  • Create and manage your account and profile.
  • Run assessments, competitions, and candidate ranking.
  • Match candidates to startup roles and facilitate introductions after payment and verification.
  • Verify that hirers represent the companies they claim to represent.
  • Process payments and maintain financial records.
  • Send service-related notifications (for example intro requests or account updates).
  • Respond to support requests and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
  • Analyse aggregated usage to improve the product and prevent fraud or abuse.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed to provide the service or as required by law.

  • Between candidates and hirers: after a paid intro request and where appropriate, we share candidate information with the relevant startup. Until then, candidates are presented anonymously to hirers on the Platform.
  • Service providers: we use trusted processors such as Firebase (hosting and authentication), Razorpay (payments), and file hosting providers for uploads. They process data on our instructions.
  • Legal and safety: we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of users and the Platform.
  • Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

5. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

You may request deletion of your account by contacting us. Some information may be retained where we have a legitimate legal or operational need (for example payment records).

6. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organisational measures designed to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls on our infrastructure.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information, or to object to certain processing.

You can update much of your profile information directly in the Platform. For other requests, contact us at hello@priers.studio. We will respond within a reasonable time.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Platform is used.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some features, including authentication.

9. Children

The Platform is intended for users who are at least 18 years old, or the minimum age required to enter a binding contract in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Platform or by email where appropriate.
