The rules for using Prier as a candidate or startup hirer.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Prier platform at priers.studio (the "Platform"), operated by Prier ("we", "us", or "our").

By creating an account, browsing the Platform, or using any part of our services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Our service

Prier helps early-stage startups discover, assess, and connect with pre-vetted talent. We run competitions and assessments, rank candidates against roles, and facilitate paid introductions between verified hirers and matched candidates.

We are a matching and vetting platform — not an employer, recruiter of record, or guarantor of hiring outcomes. Any internship, employment, or contract between a candidate and a startup is solely between those parties.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract to use the Platform.

You must provide accurate information and keep your account details up to date.

4. Accounts and roles

The Platform supports distinct candidate and hirer accounts. You may only use the account type that reflects how you are using the service.

  • Candidates: you represent that profile information, skills, and assessment submissions are truthful and belong to you.
  • Hirers: you represent that you have authority to recruit on behalf of the company listed on your profile.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

5. Hirer verification

Before requesting paid introductions, hirers must complete company verification. We may verify affiliation automatically (for example by matching a work email domain to your company website) or through manual review.

We may refuse, suspend, or revoke verification if information is inaccurate, misleading, or if we suspect fraud. Submitting false company details is grounds for immediate termination.

6. Payments and introductions

Hirers pay for candidate introductions through Razorpay on the Platform. Prices are shown before checkout and are charged per shortlisted candidate at the rate displayed at the time of payment.

Payment must be completed before introductions are sent. Intro requests are fulfilled after successful payment confirmation.

Fees are for access to Prier's matching and introduction service. They do not guarantee that a candidate will accept an opportunity, that interviews will occur, or that a hire will result.

Refund requests are considered on a case-by-case basis where a technical failure prevented delivery of the paid service. Contact hello@priers.studio within 7 days of payment with your transaction reference.

7. Candidate responsibilities

Candidates agree to participate honestly in assessments and competitions, maintain an accurate profile, and respond professionally when contacted after an introduction.

You must not misrepresent your skills, impersonate another person, or share assessment materials in ways that undermine the integrity of the vetting process.

8. Hirer responsibilities

Hirers agree to use candidate information only for legitimate recruiting purposes, comply with applicable employment and data-protection laws, and treat candidates fairly.

Role postings must be accurate. You must not use the Platform to harvest data, spam candidates, or circumvent Prier's introduction process.

Where Prier provides standard agreements or non-solicitation terms for engagements, those additional terms apply to the relevant placement.

9. Prohibited use

You may not use the Platform to:

  • Violate any applicable law or third-party rights.
  • Harass, discriminate against, or exploit other users.
  • Upload malware, scrape data, or attempt to bypass security or payment controls.
  • Create fake companies, fake candidates, or fraudulent payment activity.
  • Reverse engineer or resell access to the Platform without our written consent.

10. Intellectual property

The Platform, including its design, branding, assessments, and software, is owned by Prier or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the Platform for its intended purpose.

You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant us a licence to use, display, and process it as needed to operate the Platform (for example to show your profile to matched hirers or run assessments).

11. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, the accuracy of every match, or the conduct of any user on or off the Platform.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Prier and its founders, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Platform.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Platform is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Prier in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) INR 5,000.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you breach these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if continued access poses risk to the Platform or other users.

You may stop using the Platform at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including payment obligations, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will continue to apply.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in New Delhi, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Platform, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
